Websites that have to work in China and everywhere else.
Cheerise Topline is a small web studio in Hong Kong. We build and look after sites for manufacturers, publishers, schools and venues whose audiences sit on both sides of the Chinese firewall. Two languages and two networks, with one site for your team to maintain.
The problem we solve
A site that loads fast in London can be unusable in Shenzhen.
Fonts from Google, video from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, a form that posts to a service blocked at the border. All of it is fine until half your audience is inside mainland China, where the page hangs waiting for assets that will never arrive.
We build the other way round. We host assets where both audiences can reach them, serve images through a CDN that works in either place, treat WeChat and Weibo as primary channels, and start the ICP filing before launch. What you get is one website that both audiences use. Run an English site and a Chinese site separately and they tend to drift apart inside a year.
What we do
Design and build
Complete websites, from the first sketch to the day it goes live. Mostly WordPress, because clients need to run their own site after we hand it over. The templates are ours, written around the client's content.
Bilingual and multi-region
English and Chinese are both built in from the start. Regional storefronts, per-market contact routing, WeChat and Weibo integration, and ICP filing support for sites hosted in the mainland.
Editorial platforms
Publishing systems with real taxonomy, newsletter capture, gated report downloads and archive pages that stay fast as the archive grows into the hundreds of articles.
Product catalogues and spec tools
Structured product data, filtering and comparison tools for catalogues that keep expanding. Adding a product is a content job your own team can do.
Care and performance
Hosting, Cloudflare configuration, image optimisation, updates and the unglamorous maintenance that keeps a site alive. Several of the sites we built years ago are still ours to look after.

Start something
Tell us where your audience is and we'll tell you what it takes.
A short conversation is usually enough to work out whether the thing you need is a new site, a rebuild, or someone to take the existing one off your hands.
